BECKLEY -- A motorsports park is being sued for failing to pay event organizers.
Fastrak Companies International LLC filed a lawsuit Jan. 3 in the Raleigh Circuit Court against Billie J. Moore-Jackson.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 28, 2012, both parties entered an agreement wherein Fastrak would host their event, the 2012 Fastrak World Championship, Oct. 4-6, 2012, at the defendant's facility, Beckley Motorsports Park, in return for $45,420 and one dollar of every ticket sold. The plaintiff says they only received $35,420 from Moore-Jackson, rendering them unable to pay the winners of the event, and resulting in a loss of reputation and business.
Fastrak is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. They are being represented in the case by attorney Christian R. Harris.
