Foodland sued after customer slips on wet floor

FAYETTEVILLE -- A woman is suing after slipping on a wet floor in a supermarket.


Alice Taylor filed a lawsuit Jan. 15 in Fayette Circuit Court against C&E Corporation, doing business as New River Foodland, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 25, 2012, Taylor was shopping in the frozen food aisle of New River Foodland in Fico when she slipped on a puddle of water and injured her left knee. New River Foodland is accused of failing to maintain safe premises for its customers or warn customers of the dangerous condition.

Taylor is seeking is seeking an amount in damages to be determined by the court. She is being represented in the case by attorneys Alyson A. Dotson and Aaron C. Ambler of Ambler & Dotson LC.
