WINFIELD -- A paint company is suing a roofing company stating they are owed more than $40,000 for paint and supplies.
The Sherwin-Williams Company filed a lawsuit Jan. 13 in Putnam Circuit Court against American Roof Company Inc., citing a default in the payment for materials and supplies.
The suit states the two companies entered into an agreement and Sherwin-Williams advanced paint and related materials to American Roof and then billed the company $40,557.25. The last day the bill could be paid without default was June 20, 2013, according to the suit.
The paint company is seeking damages in $40,557.25, plus pre-judgment interest, post-judgment interest, with all court costs and expenses. Sherwin-Williams is being represented by Trent Echard of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky.
