PERSONNEL FILE: Dinsmore partners honored for leadership

CHARLESTON -- Two Partners from Dinsmore & Shohl’s Charleston office have been honored for their leadership initiatives.



Robert M. Stonestreet has been accepted into Leadership West Virginia’s class of 2014, and Brian J. Moore received the Young Leader Award from the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.


Stonestreet is among 56 members of Leadership West Virginia’s newest class.  Leadership West Virginia is a highly selective program designed to build and support emerging leaders in the state of West Virginia and consists of eight monthly two-day educational sessions.

Stonestreet is a partner in the Litigation Department with a wide array of courtroom experience. He has represented clients in suits involving consumer finance, serious personal injury/wrongful death, product liability, alleged land contamination, toxic exposure, patent infringement, property disputes, and complex commercial transactions.

In addition to litigation, Stonestreet's practice also focuses on environmental issues facing the energy industry. He has appeared as lead counsel in appeals before the West Virginia Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Moore, a member of Leadership West Virginia’s Class of 2012, was presented with the Young Leader Award at the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner.   He is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Department.

Working with clients in the banking, retail, health care and coal industries, he has guided them through an array of issues, including workers’ compensation, sexual harassment, age discrimination, unemployment, unfair labor practice and union representation cases.

Moore has substantial experience practicing in both state and federal courts, as well as before the West Virginia Human Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.
