Company says other didn't pay for ads

KINGWOOD -- A company is suing after a client failed to pay for ads run in regional news outlets.


Preston Publications Inc. filed a lawsuit Jan. 17 in Preston Circuit Court against Peak Communications Systems LLC, citing open account, breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, between July 31, 2007, and Aug. 31, 2013, Peak Communications entered into a contract with Preston Publications for the plaintiff to create and publish various advertisements related to cell phone communications throughout regional news media. The plaintiff says Peak Communications failed to pay for the services, owing an amount more than $52,000.

Preston Publications is seeking the amount owed and is being represented in the case by attorneys Sam H. Harrold III and S. Frederick Kiser of McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner LC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Lawrance S. Miller.
