Heating company claims log home builder didn't pay

BECKLEY -- A heating company is suing a log home builder, claiming it never was paid for a unit installed in one of the homes.


Appalachian Heating and Propane filed a lawsuit Jan. 24 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Heritage Log Homes, citing default of payment.

The lawsuit states the log home building company contracted with Applalachian Heating and Propane to install a heat pump on May 26, 2011. The heating company billed Heritage $6,000 for the work, according to the complaint.

Appalachian Heating and Propone is seeking $8,056.26 in damages, which include the original invoice, interest and court filing fee. It is represented by private attorney J.D. Ward II. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison.
