Woman files suit after fall at cafeteria

Slipandfall

PRINCETON -- A Mercer County woman is suing over claims she sustained serious injuries after falling in a cafeteria.

Tammy Adams filed a lawsuit Jan. 13 in Mercer Circuit Court against Fink Cafeteria, citing negligence.

Adams claims on Jan. 14, 2012, she was helping the defendant prepare to reopen, in Mercer County, when Adams slipped and fell on a recently mopped floor, sustaining injuries.

The suit alleges the defendant didn't warn others of the condition of the floors. Adams' fall caused injury to her knees and back, according to the complaint.

Adams is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented in the case by Bluefield attorney James Palmer III of The Palmer Law Firm. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Omar Aboulhosn.
