Company, driver named in car accident suit

PRINCETON -- A West Virginia man is suing over claims he sustained serious injuries after a car accident.


Donnie Zimmerman filed a lawsuit Jan. 15 in Mercer Circuit Court against Junior Lee Brown and Citizens Telecommunications Company of West Virginia, citing negligence.

Zimmerman claims on Jan. 30, 2012, he was yielding for traffic in order to make a left turn on Thorn Street in Princeton, when the defendant crashed into his car, resulting in Zimmerman sustaining injuries. The suit alleges the defendant was not paying attention to the traffic around him.

Zimmerman is seeking damages, interest, attorneys' fees and court costs. He is being represented in the case by attorneys Robert D. Cline Jr., Brian E. Bigelow and Melissa R. Lyons of Farmer, Cline and Campbell PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Derek Swope.
