HUNTINGTON -- A Cabell County woman is suing an Ohio resident alleging conversion.
Chereshe N. Meadows, as administratrix of the Estate of Lucy Marie Blankenship, deceased, filed a lawsuit Feb. 6 in Cabell Circuit Court against Donita Jones.
The complaint states after Blankenship underwent hospitalization and surgery, the defendant moved into Blankenship's home and undertook a fiduciary role.
Sometime after Dec. 30, 2012, the defendant caused her name to be added to some of Blankenship's financial accounts, according to the complaint. In addition, the complaint states, the defendant took Blankenship's jewelry, motor vehicle and used Blankenship's cellular telephone account for her own use.
Meadows is seeking compensatory damages, punitive damages, prejudgment attachment for the motor vehicle, injunctive relief, attorney's fees and court costs.
The plaintiff is being represented by Barboursville attorney Paul A. Ryker. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
