WINFIELD -- A Putnam County company is suing over claims a client failed to pay for supplies.

West Virginia Steel Corporation filed a lawsuit Feb. 24 in Putnam Circuit Court against Clark International Logistics LLC, citing breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, from May 24, through July 31, West Virginia Steel sold various supplies to Clark International for a total of $40,191.45. The plaintiff says on June 12, Clark International applied for credit to West Virginia Steel and agreed to pay court fees related to the collection of delinquent balances, but Clark International has still failed to pay any of the balance.

West Virginia Steel Corporation is seeking the $40,191.45 balance, plus court costs and fees.

They are being represented in the case by attorneys Charles M. Johnstone II and Madeline G. George of Johnstone & Gabhart LLP. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joseph M. Reeder.
