Slip and fall leads to lawsuit against Wheeling bar

Slipandfall

WHEELING -- A Wheeling couple is suing after the husband slipped and fell outside of a bar.

Gerald and Louise Elliott filed suit in Ohio Circuit Court on Feb. 7 against MFD III, doing business as Generations Restaurant and Pub.

Gerald Elliott says he was going to Generations Pub, 338 National Road in Wheeling, when he slipped and fell. Elliott says on Feb. 8, 2012, he was walking outside the bar when he encountered a slippery area on the ground which caused him to slip and fall when he stepped on it.

Elliott George says Generations Pub was negligent in allowing the walkway into the bar to be dangerously slippery.

Elliott apparently suffered serious injuries for which he hopes to hold Generations Pub liable.

The Elliotts are seeking an undisclosed amount in damages, and they are being represented by attorney Ronald W. Zavolta. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Ronald E. Wilson.
