Woman blames ambulance driver for accident

BECKLEY -- A Raleigh County woman is suing an ambulance company and driver, claiming negligence.


Nancy Crump filed a lawsuit Feb. 24 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Jan-Care Ambulance of Raleigh County Inc. and Robert Stephen Sovine, citing negligence.

Crump claims on Dec. 15, she was traveling north on U.S. 19 at the intersection of North Eisenhower Drive and Rural Acres Drive in Beckley, when defendant Sovine crashed into Crump's vehicle. According to the claim, Sovine recklessly drove into the intersection, causing the accident which injured Crump.

Crump is seeking damages, attorney's fees, interest and court costs.

She is being represented by Beckley attorney Christopher M. Davis of Wooton, Wooton and Davis PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge H. L. Kirkpatrick.
