HUNTINGTON -- An Ohio couple are suing a Cabell County man after he crashed into their vehicle.

Carmel M. Sisson and Frederick W. Sisson filed a lawsuit Feb. 18 in Cabell Circuit Court against Jessie James Simpson, citing negligence and loss of companionship.

The plaintiffs claim that on Feb. 29, 2012, Carmel was a passenger of a car traveling on U.S. 60 in Huntington, when the defendant crashed into the car. According to the brief, Simpson was driving carelessly and recklessly causing him to loose control of her car and cross over the east bound lane into oncoming traffic.

As a result of the accident, Carmel suffered injuries to her spine, neck and lower back.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages, interest, attorney's fees and court costs.

They are being represented by Point Pleasant attorney Matthew L. Clark of Kayser, Layne and Clark PLLC.
