CHARLESTON -- The Supreme Court will hear four cases originally scheduled for March 4 at West Virginia University School of Law and will judge the school’s annual George C. Baker Cup moot court competition in Charleston instead of Morgantown.
The Supreme Court’s trip to the WVU law school was cancelled earlier this month due to hazardous winter road conditions.
The moot court competition will be held in the Supreme Court Chamber at 2 p.m. on March 26.
The Rule 20 Argument Docket cases that were scheduled to be heard March 4 in Morgantown also have been rescheduled.
In addition to the cases that previously were set for argument on those days, the Court will hear Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and Greg Chandler’s Frame & Body, LLC v. Patrick Morrisey, Attorney General, No. 13-0195 and Dean Lowe and Martha Lowe v. Joseph C. Richards and Joyce Richards, No. 13-0234, on March 25 in the Supreme Court Chamber in Charleston.
The Court will hear John N. Kenney v. Samuel C. Liston, No. 13-0427, and Ron King, Fire Marshal/Code Official; David Casebolt, Mayor; and the City of Nitro v. Richard Nease and Lorinda Nease, No. 13-0603 on March 26 in the Supreme Court Chamber in Charleston.
