LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Legislature should have addressed jobs, education

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

West Virginia has serious issues to address like creating a better environment for jobs and improving our schools, yet nothing was done with either during the recent legislative session.

From nearly every corner, this session has been deemed a failure. It shows that we need new leadership in Charleston, and I am willing to serve the 8th district.

I created dozens of jobs in West Virginia and it wasn’t easy. We need to make our tax and legal systems fair and we need to take a common sense approach to our regulatory environment. West Virginia can do better, and I want to help be a catalyst for this needed change.

I am running for elected office so that I can improve our state for my children and grandchildren. This legislative session failed to make any meaningful improvements. We must do better.

Sincerely,

Ed Gaunch

Charleston

(Editor's Note: Gaunch is the Republican candidate for State Senate in the 8th District.)
