CHARLESTON -- A drywall finisher is suing after sustaining serious injury at a work site.
Frank Slusher filed a lawsuit Feb. 3 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Phoenix Associates Inc., Astorg Ford Lincoln of Parkersburg Inc., Astorg Imports Inc., Astorg Motor Co. Inc. and Paul Astorg, citing deliberate intent and negligence.
The complaint states on Aug. 14, Slusher was employed as a dry-wall finisher by Phoenix Associates and was working at an Astorg building in Parkersburg. Phoenix Associates directed Slusher to perform roofing work at the Astorg job site, according to the complaint. The plaintiff contends while he was on the roof, he fell head first through an improperly covered hole and sustained serious injury.
The plaintiff is seeking damages, costs and fees.
He is being represented by Robert B. Warner and Truman Griffith of Warner Law Offices PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
