BECKLEY -- A former Buffalo Wild Wings manager is suing the business and other management, claiming sexual harassment, discrimination and negligence.

Rebecca Richmond Proffitt filed a lawsuit on Feb. 27 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Buffalo Wild Wings Inc., Mountain View Investors Inc., James Caton and Carey Keilitz, citing sexual harassment, unlawful termination, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, negligent hiring and withholding paycheck.

Proffitt, who lives in North Carolina, alleges in the suit that from Dec. 5 until Dec. 31, 2012, she was in Bridgeport for management training with defendant Keilitz and several other male managers. According to the brief, while at this training, Keilitz began making inappropriate comments to Proffitt. The defendant Caton also made inappropriate comments toward Proffitt and withheld her paycheck for a total of one month in an effort to bribe her into starting a sexual relationship.

The suit alleges Keilitz erased text messages from Proffitt's phone to get rid of any evidence and eventually fired her under false accusations.

Proffitt is seeking back pay of salary, damages, reinstatement costs, attorney's fees and court costs.

She is being represented in the case by Morgantown attorneys Stephen B. Farmer and Matthew H. Nelson of Farmer, Cline and Campbell PLLC.
