WILLIAMSON -- A Mingo County woman is suing over claims she was discriminated against by her employer based upon her gender.

Lori Belt filed a lawsuit Jan. 16 in Mingo Circuit Court against Donnie Hughes, Rage Administrative and Marketing Services Inc., Pizza Hut of Kermit Inc. and Jim Gandy, citing gender discrimination.

According to the complaint, Belt's employment by Rage as manager of Pizza Hut of Kermit was terminated on Feb. 23, 2012, after Belt experienced sexual comments and verbal abuse by colleague Donnie Hughes. Jim Gandy is accused of failing to take action against Hughes.

Belt is seeking back pay, front pay and damages.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Susan J. Van Zant.
