CHARLESTON -- A state agency and a Cabell County man are being sued over claims negligence caused a car accident.
Teresa Craig filed a lawsuit April 9 in Kanawha Circuit Court against the West Virginia Department of Commerce, Division of Natural Resources and Nicholas Glotfelty, citing negligence.
Craig claims she was traveling westbound on Interstate 64 in Nitro, when defendant Glotfelty struck the rear of her vehicle, causing a five car accident. The suit alleges Glotfelty was driving a vehicle owned by the DNR when he failed to maintain control of the vehicle and failed to keep a proper lookout, resulting in the accident that injured Craig.
Craig is seeking damages, interest, attorney's fees and court costs.
She is being represented in the case by Charleston attorney Robert D. Cline Jr., Robert A. Campbell and Letisha R. Bika of Farmer, Cline and Campbell PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
