CHARLESTON -- Spilman Thomas & Battle attorney Heather Heiskell Jones has been named a West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellow.
Heiskell Jones, a member in the law firm’s Charleston office, joins about 300 other Fellows previously selected from more than 5,000 eligible lawyers and judges in the state.
The foundation bases its selection of fellows on attorneys’ dedication to the welfare of their communities and honorable service to the legal profession in West Virginia. Fifteen lawyers and three members of the judiciary were selected as fellows this year.
Heiskell Jones chairs Spilman’s litigation department. She has vast experience representing businesses in toxic tort matters, medical monitoring class actions, multi-media and contract disputes, product liability matters, deliberate intent claims, and insurance bad faith claims. She also is experienced handling cases in the West Virginia Business Court Division.
Heiskell Jones previously served as president of the West Virginia Bar Foundation. She is a member of DRI, a leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel.
Now in its 150th year, Spilman Thomas & Battle is a full-service, regional law firm serving local, national and international businesses.
