MORGANTOWN -- Dinsmore & Shohl’s Morgantown March Madness event raised $3,800 for Milan Puskar Health Right.

The Morgantown office of Dinsmore hosted 140 people in the late Milan Puskar’s penthouse for the fundraising event on March 20. Attendees enjoyed watching the first round games of the NCAA basketball tournament.

“We had a great time watching an exciting first-round of the basketball tournament and catching up with our clients and friends,” said David Thomas, Morgantown office Managing Partner. “We greatly appreciate the generosity of those who attended and supported this event.

We are particularly thankful to the Puskar family for opening up the penthouse to allow us to host the event in such a special setting and for donating a sports photo from Mr. Puskar’s personal collection which was auctioned off to raise money for the charity. We also appreciate the generosity of Dales Sparks of All Pro Photography who donated three autographed photos of Mountaineer basketball greats which were raffled off to benefit the charity.

"Overall, the event was a success, and plans are already under way to do a similar event next year.”

Milan Puskar Health Right provides a wide range of services from primary medical care to dental referrals, vision screenings, mental health services and medications free of charge for low-income patients.

“We are thrilled to partner with Dinsmore and Shohl in this effort to raise money to improve the health of everyone in our community,” said Laura Jones, Executive Director of Milan Puskar Health Right. “Some people have the idea that Health Right is no longer needed due to the Affordable Care Act. This is far from the truth. There are many health care gaps that still exist for low-income residents of North Central West Virginia.”

The Morgantown office features 12 attorneys with a focus on natural resources law, mine and workplace safety, banking and creditor rights, estate and family wealth planning and governmental relations.

Dinsmore & Shohl is comprised of more than 500 attorneys with locations in 16 cities throughout Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. For more information,  visit www.dinsmore.com.
