Ohio Co. man blames golf cart driver for injuries

WHEELING -- An Ohio County man is suing a golf cart driver after he was injured in an accident.

Daniel G. Reineke filed a lawsuit April 25 in Ohio Circuit Court against The Wheeling Park Commission and James L. Romish Jr., citing negligence.

Reineke claims he was injured while driving his motorcycle on Lodge Road in Ohio County on May 2, 2012, when defendant Romish caused him to crash.

The suit alleges Romish abruptly drove his golf cart into Reineke's lane of travel, causing Reineke to swerve to avoid an accident. According to the brief, Reineke lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from it into a grassy area.

Reineke is seeking damages, interest, attorney's fees and court costs.

He is being represented in the case by attorneys Brent E. Wear and Clayton J. Fitzsimmons of Fitzsimmons Law Firm PLLC and Gerasimos Sklavounakis of Sklavounakis Law Offices. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Martin J. Gaughan.
