FAYETTEVILLE -- A Fayette County man is suing over claims his home was exposed to raw sewage due to the negligence of the water and sewer services district.
Darrell Thomas filed a lawsuit May 9 in Fayette Circuit Court against Arbuckle Public Service District, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Thomas noticed raw sewage in and around his home in August 2012, causing diminished value to his home and health issues. The defendant is accused of negligence, breach of contract and breach of obligations as a public service district.
Thomas is seeking damages in an amount to be determined in court.
He is being represented in the case by attorney Anthony M. Salvatore. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul M. Blake.
