Electrical firm says coal company owes money

SUMMERSVILLE -- Doss Electric is suing a coal company for refusing to pay them for purchased equipment and completed work.

Double S LLC, doing business as Doss Electric, filed a lawsuit May 7 in Nicholas Circuit Court against United Coal Company LLC, citing breach of contract.

Double S LLC claims it sold the defendant various equipment and performed repairs on equipment the defendant owns the total value being $16,282. The suit alleges the defendant has refused to pay Double S the agreed upon amount for the equipment and repairs.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in the amount of $16,282, interest, expenses and attorney fees.

It is being represented in the case by attorneys Gregory W. Sproles of Gregory W. Sproles PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Court Judge Gary L. Johnson.
