CHARLESTON -- The National Law Journal has named regional law firm Bowles Rice to its 2014 Midsize Hot List.
In an introduction to the special May 26 report, NLJ editors recognized Bowles Rice among midsize firms “... that are succeeding at a time when many of their bigger competitors are struggling amid high headcounts and overhead. These midsize firms, ranging from 51 to 150 lawyers, know they can beat the bigger players on price -- but they understand that it takes more than lower fees to bring in and retain business. They’ve got to offer greater lawyering -- whether in litigation, regulatory work or deals. And they do.”
In June 2013, Bowles Rice was included for the first time in the NLJ 350, the publication’s annual survey of the nation’s largest law firms, as determined by number of lawyers. At that time, Bowles Rice entered the rankings at No. 319, based on 128 lawyers. The firm has since grown to more than 140 lawyers.
The National Law Journal is a national publication, providing timely legal information about legislative issues and legal news from the business and private sectors.
