Ky. man blames Procter & Gamble for wreck

HUNTINGTON -- A Kentucky man is suing over claims he was injured in a vehicle collision with a commercial driver.

Stephen E. McGinnis filed a lawsuit May 29 in Cabell Circuit Court against Michael Grandfils and The Procter & Gamble Distributing Company, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, McGinnis was driving on Adams Avenue in Huntington on June 3, 2012, when Grandfils, driving in the scope of his employment with Procter & Gamble, ran a stop sign at the intersection of Adams and West 13th streets and struck the plaintiff's vehicle, causing him injury.

McGinnis is seeking damages and attorney's fees.

He is being represented in the case by attorneys Robert D. Cline Jr., Robert A. Campbell and Letisha R. Bika of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Christopher D. Chiles.
