PERSONNEL FILE: Kay Casto & Chaney attorneys make Super Lawyer list

CHARLESTON – Kay Casto & Chaney has announced that 11 of its attorneys have been named to the 2014 West Virginia Super Lawyers list and published in June and three attorneys are named to the 2014 West Virginia Rising Stars list.

The attorneys on the Super Lawyer list are Robert B. Allen, Rebecca A. Betts, William W. Booker, Michael T. Chaney, Teresa J. Dumire, John R. Hoblitzell, Craig M. Kay, John R. McGhee Jr., Steven L. Thomas, Constance H . Weber and Stephen A. Weber.

The attorneys on the Rising Stars list are Ariella G. Silberman, Shannon P. Smith and Erin J. Webb.

The Rising Star designation was developed using the same approach and criteria for as the Super Lawyers list except:





  • To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.




  • While up to 5 percent of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to Rising Stars.
