Putnam resident says bank didn't pay on retirement account

WINFIELD -- A Putnam County resident is suing over claims a bank has failed to make payment on a retirement account certificate.

Jerry Zoe Holden filed a lawsuit June 18 in Putnam Circuit Court against Huntington Bancshares Incorporated.

According to the complaint, Holden owns a retirement account certificate issued by The National Bank of Commerce, the successor of which is Huntington Bancshares Incorporated. Holden says payment was demanded of the defendant April 22, and the request was denied May 1.

Holden is seeking the $7,700 value of the certificate.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Harvey D. Peyton of Peyton Law Firm PLLC in Nitro.
