WINFIELD -- A Putnam County man is suing over claims he was injured in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart.
Billy Brown filed a lawsuit June 27 in Putnam Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores, East L.P., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Brown was at a Wal-Mart store in Hurricane on Feb. 7, when he slipped on ice in the parking lot and sustained injuries. Wal-Mart is accused of negligence in failing to fix the hazardous condition.
Brown is seeking damages.
He is being represented in the case by attorney Scott H. Kaminski of Balgo & Kaminski L.C. in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joseph Reeder.
