PRINCETON -- A Pennsylvania company is suing over claims a Mercer County company has failed to pay for a rented crane.
Maxim Crane Works L.P. filed a lawsuit June 25 in Mercer Circuit Court against Appalachian Coal Services LLC, citing breach of contract.
According to the complaint, in November and December, Maxim Crane Works signed three agreements to provide a crane to Appalachian Coal Services for its operations in Keystone. Maxim says it provided the crane, but Appalachian Coal Services has failed to pay the agreed upon amount. The defendant is accused of breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
Maxim Crane Works is seeking the $25,981 balance owed. It is being represented in the case by attorney Allen M. Lopus of Clark Hill PLC in Wheeling. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge William J. Sadler.
