PERSONNEL FILE: Four Bailey & Wyant attorneys selected for Super Lawyers

CHARLESTON – Bailey & Wyant PLLC is pleased to announce that Charles R. Bailey, David L. Wyant, Thomas E. Buck and H. F. Salsbery were selected for inclusion in the 2014 edition of the West Virginia Super Lawyers publication.

Super Lawyers recognizes attorneys who have maintained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement within the state of West Virginia. Before a lawyer is listed in Super Lawyers, they first go through a four-step selection process which includes peer nominations, independent research, and evaluations before the finalization stage.

Bailey is a managing member of the firm. He was also listed in the 2008 and 2009 editions of West Virginia Super Lawyers in the General Litigation category. He received his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law and his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism also from West Virginia University.

Bailey’s practice areas include Labor & Employment Law, Medical Malpractice, Governmental Liability, Real Estate Litigation & Transactions, Construction Defects, Toxic Torts, Products Liability, Insurance Coverage, Aviation, Employment Benefits and Professional Liability.

Wyant is a managing member of the firm. He has been listed in Super Lawyers since 2011 in the Civil Litigation category.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Miami University and his law degree from Indiana University.

Wyant is the past President of the West Virginia Defense Trial Counsel and a member of the Defense Research Institute. His practice areas include medical malpractice, products liability, industrial accidents, extra-contractual bad faith claims, construction claims, governmental liability, labor and employment litigation.

Buck, a member of the firm, was listed in 2013 also under the civil litigation category. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Organization and Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh where he also obtained his Law Degree.

Buck’s practice areas include labor/employment law, insurance defense litigation, state, county and municipal government law, civil rights, products liability, industrial accidents, extra-contractual bad faith claims, and construction actions.

Salsbery, of counsel, has been listed in Super Lawyers since 2010 in the Business Litigation category. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky and his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He limits his practice to trials and appeals in all courts.

Salsbery has tried more than 150 civil and criminal cases and is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Bailey and Salsbery work from the Charleston office, and Wyant and Buck work from the Wheeling office.
