Wyoming Co. woman says she was injured in tavern

PINEVILLE -- A Wyoming County woman is suing over claims she was injured on the stairs of a tavern.

Peggy B. White filed a lawsuit Aug. 5 in Wyoming Circuit Court against Steele's Tavern, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, White was attempting to use the ATM at Steele's Tavern in Mullens on Aug. 6, 2012, when she fell on steps due to the dim lighting and sustained injuries to her chest, ribs, knee and hands. The defendant is accused of negligence.

White is seeking damages for medical expenses, prescription drug costs and attorney's fees.

She is being represented in the case by attorney David S. Hart of Hayden & Hart PLLC in Beckley. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Warren G. McGraw.
