Putnam company says it wasn't paid for well work

Contract

WINFIELD – A Putnam County company is suing over claims it was not paid for work performed and materials provided in several construction projects.

Raynes & Company LLC filed a lawsuit Aug. 14 in Putnam Circuit Court against Cunningham Energy LLC, citing breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Cunningham contracted Raynes & Company for work on several Cunningham Summerfield well site construction projects July 22, 2011. Raynes & Company says Cunningham approved estimates provided in response to work orders, so Raynes & Company performed the work, totaling $133,000. The complaint states Cunningham has failed to pay, constituting breach of contract.

Raynes & Company is seeking more than $142,300 in the principal sum, plus interest.

It is being represented in the case by attorney Mary K. Prim in Scott Depot. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Phillip M. Stowers.
