Man says Walgreen's didn't pay all his wages

Walgreens

BECKLEY – A Raleigh County man is suing over claims he was not paid all wages owed when his position was eliminated.

Jerry McClanahan Sr. filed a lawsuit Sept. 23 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Walgreen Co. and Ruann Fielder, citing the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.

According to the complaint, McClanahan was employed as an executive assistant manager at the Walgreens' Beaver location but his position was eliminated Jan. 24, 2012. McClanahan says Walgreens, and specifically his manager, Fielder, failed to pay all wages due, including but not limited to unpaid overtime and accrued vacation pay.

The defendants are accused of violating the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.

McClanahan is represented by attorney Anthony Michael Salvatore of Hewitt and Salvatore in Fayetteville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge H. L. Kirkpatrick III.
