PERSONNEL FILE: Jackson Kelly welcomes four associates

CHARLESTON – Jackson Kelly is pleased to welcome Candice Kines, Alexandra M. Kitts, Rachel D. Ludwig and Ryan Pulver to the firm.

Kines, Kitts and Ludwig join the Health Care and Finance Practice Group.

Pulver joins the Tax Practice Group.

Kines graduated, Order of the Coif, from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2014.

She is a cum laude graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va., where she majored in political science and minored in philosophy of religion.

While in law school, she served as Senior Editor of the West Virginia Law Review, Volume 116.

Kitts earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May 2014.

While in law school, she served on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Bar and was selected to the Order of the Barristers for excellence in oral advocacy.

She was also inducted into Phi Delta Phi legal honor society.

Kitts is a cum laude graduate of West Virginia University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and a minor in philosophy.

Ludwig is a 2012 graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

During law school, she was a recipient of the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law and received CALI Awards for Excellence in FDA Seminar, Health Law and Legal Research.

She also served as Chief Managing Editor and Staff Editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law.

Ludwig received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland in government and politics with a minor in English. She is licensed to practice in Ohio and West Virginia.

Pulver earned his Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law in May of 2014.

During law school, he served as an Editor on the West Virginia Law Review. He has also competed in national moot court competitions focusing on tax law.

During his third year of law school, Pulver was a member of the Taxpayer Advocacy Clinic, where he represented individuals in their disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. He also worked as a Research Assistant for the West Virginia University College of Law Center for Energy and Sustainable Development. Prior to law school, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
