Woman files suit after McDonald's slip-and-fall

PRINCETON – A Monroe County woman is suing over claims she was injured when she slipped on the wet floor of a restaurant.

Bethel Meadows filed a lawsuit Dec. 3 in Mercer Circuit Court against McDonald's Corporation and Eugene Forbes, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Meadows was at the McDonald's on Oakvale Road in Princeton on Dec. 3, 2012, when she slipped on the wet floor while walking to a table, fell and sustained injuries.

The complaint states Forbes was the manager of the restaurant and responsible for maintaining it. The defendants are accused of negligence in failing to post signs warning of the dangerous condition.

Meadows seeks compensatory, punitive and general damages, interest and attorney fees.

She is represented by attorney John H. Bryan of Union. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Derek C. Swope.
