Woman slips on fresh paint, sues Lowe's

WHEELING – A woman is suing a Lowe's chain store over claims she slipped and fell on fresh paint.

Jo Lynn Weekley filed a lawsuit Jan. 15 in Ohio Circuit Court against Lowe's Home Centers.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 18, 2013, Weekley slipped and fell on fresh paint while shopping at the Lowe's at 2801 Chapline St., Wheeling.

Lowe's Home Centers negligently failed to maintain the floor area and failed to warm business invitees of the danger, the suit states, and Weekley sustained injuries to the neck, shoulder, back, ankle, head and fingers.

Weekley seeks damages for injuries sustained, along with interest and costs. She is represented by attorney Gregory A. Gellner of Gellner Law Offices in Wheeling.
