PRINCETON – The finance director of a local auto dealership has sued her former employer, alleging the company fired her in retaliation for reporting their wrongdoing in addition to other violations.
Anita Clark, 58, filed a lawsuit Jan. 20 in Mercer Circuit Court against Ramey Motors and Ramey Ford Lincoln Princeton.
According to the complaint, after Clark was transferred to the Princeton Ford lot from Ramey Ford, she was told by then-President James Ramey Jr. that she would receive a pay raise. During her work there, she also reprimanded a Ford employee for placing a false online advertisement, the suit states, and in 2013, Clark was fired and replaced by Charlie Edwards, a 38-year-old man.
Clark seeks damages, including back pay and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Stephen P. New of Beckley.
