Norfolksouthern

PINEVILLE – A Wyoming County man has sued his employer for alleged infringement of liability law.

Greg A. Worley of Mullens filed a lawsuit Feb. 11 against Norfolk Southern Railway Company in Wyoming Circuit Court, alleging violation of the Federal Employers’ Liability Act.

According to the complaint, Worley, a railroad engineer, slipped and fell as he was walking up the outside step of a locomotive motor while on duty July 18, 2013. The suit states he had to walk in that area in order to release a hand brake and his employer failed to keep the area free of debris and dangerous conditions.

The suit says Worley experienced past and future lost wages and benefits, diminished earning capacity, medical expenses and pain and suffering.

Worley seeks compensatory damages, attorney fees and costs. He is represented by attorney Bert Ketchum of Greene, Ketchum, Farrell, Bailey & Tweel in Huntington.
