KEYSER – A Pendleton County couple has filed suit against a transportation company for alleged negligence in a 2013 traffic accident.
Paula Bowers and Danny Bowers of Franklin brought a complaint against Yellow Transportation Inc. and its employee, Richard Blizzard of Keyser, in the Mineral Circuit Court, claiming negligence.
According to court documents, Paula Bowers' vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle belonging to the defendant and driven by Blizzard, on or about Jan. 31, 2013, on Route 220 in Keyser. The suit states that Blizzard’s driving was erratic and careless. Paula Bowers required medical care for alleged injuries to her back, neck, shoulder and foot.
The plaintiffs claim past and future pain and discomfort, medical bills, as well as loss of company, services and enjoyment of life. They seek compensation and attorney fees and costs. They are represented in the case by Jeffrey Bowers of Bowers & Bowers, Franklin.
