Man blames convenience store for injuries

PRINCETON – A Mercer County man has filed suit against a convenience store for alleged negligence in a May 2014 incident.

Larry Eskins of Princeton brought a lawsuit against Little General Store, Inc., of Beckley, Jan. 30 in Mercer Circuit Court, citing personal injuries due to the defendant’s alleged negligence.

According to the complaint, Eskins was a customer at the defendant’s business, located on Stafford Drive in Princeton, on May 17, 2014. He claims that he suffered injuries to his right arm and knee after tripping and falling over several crates, which were allegedly left at the store entrance. Eskins further claims that, as a result, he continues to experience discomfort.

Citing emotional distress, along with physical impairment, Eskins is seeking reimbursement for medical expenses in the amount of $39,343.38, plus attorney fees and costs. He is represented in the case by Mark Wills of Wills Law Office, Princeton.
