PERSONNEL FILE: Flannery to serve as ORSANCO member

CHARLESTON – Steptoe & Johnson attorney David M. Flannery has been appointed by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin to serve as a member of the Ohio Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO).

Flannery’s term will end in June 2020.

Flannery practices environmental and energy law in Steptoe & Johnson’s Charleston office. Throughout his career, Flannery has represented clients facing environmental and regulatory issues, including litigation in both state and federal courts. He has authored numerous articles for industry and trade publications and speaks to regional and national audiences on environmental topics. Flannery is included among The Best Lawyers in America® for 2015.

ORSANCO was established on June 30, 1948 to control and abate pollution in the Ohio River Basin. ORSANCO is an interstate commission representing eight states and the federal government. Member states include: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
