ELKINS – A Randolph County man who threatened to attack a federal courthouse and a music festival has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Jonathan Leo Schrader, 30, was convicted of possession of stolen explosives, including C-4. In February, FBI, state police and Randolph County Sheriff's Department found Schrader in possession of the stolen explosives after executing a search warrant at his residence and surrounding buildings.

Schrader had threatened to detonate the explosives at various locations in Elkins, including the Jennings Randolph Federal Center and during a performance at Mountain State Forest Festival.

Schrader had obtained the explosives from a juvenile whose father had them from a previous job, according to a witness testimony.

He pleaded guilty Monday to one count of possession of stolen explosives and he will face up to 10 year sin prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Schrader is currently being held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
