Produce company says Pizzeria Uno owes nearly $18,000

CHARLESTON – A Charleston-based produce company says four Pizzeria Uno locations across the state haven't paid nearly $18,000 in bills.

Corey Brothers Inc. filed the suit Dec. 21 in Kanawha Circuit Court. The company sells and distributes produce.

Absolut WV LLC operates the Pizzeria Uno in South Charleston as well as locations in Teays Valley, Clarksburg and Morgantown.

Corey Brothers says it delivered produce to the South Charleston location from April 23, 2005, to Aug. 13, 2005. But the company hasn't paid the $3,035.91 owed, the suit claims.

Similarly, Corey Brothers says it delivered produce to the Teays Valley location from April 30 to Sept. 3. But the company hasn't paid the $3,355.35 owed.

Corey Brothers says it delivered produce to the Clarksburg location from April 20 to June 11. But the company hasn't paid the $3,999.21 owed.

And finally, Corey Brothers says it delivered produce to the Morgantown location from March 11 to Aug. 22. But the company hasn't paid the $7,391.26 owed.

After Absolut made payments on Nov. 1 and Nov. 14, the company owes Corey Brothers $17,781.93, the suit contends.

Corey Brothers wants the total amount paid as well as pre- and post-judgment interest, expenses, court costs and attorney fees.
