CHARLESTON – A Charleston man seeks $250,000 from a South Charleston family from a 2004 automobile accident.
Albert W. Lacy filed the lawsuit Jan. 20 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
In the suit, Lacy says Kris H. Mills was driving a vehicle owned by Carl and Betty Heidenreich east on MacCorkle Avenue in Charleston. Lacy was traveling west.
Lacy claims Mills failed to yield the right of way, causing the collision.
As a result of the accident, Lacy says he incurred lost wages past and future, serious permanent injuries, medical expenses past and future. In the suit, filed by attorney Shannon M. Bland, Lacy says he also suffered great pain of body and mind and the ability to enjoy his life and will continue to incur these losses in the future. He also claims he has suffered a loss of enjoyment of life.
In the suit, Lacy seeks compensatory damages jointly and severally of $250,000 as well as pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and court costs.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib.
