WHEELING - A woman and her husband are suing the Wheeling Park Commission after the wife slipped and fell on a patch of ice in a parking lot at Oglebay Park in Wheeling.
Rosemary and Richard Coury filed the suit last month in Ohio County.
In the suit, the Coury's claim that as Mrs. Coury exited the Oglebay Mansion Museum, her place of employment, she slipped and fell on an untreated patch of ice in the parking lot.
As a result of the incident, Mrs. Courey has suffered injuries including a shattered right elbow, permanent limited mobility of her right arm and hand, chronic pain, and other injuries related to her body and emotional well-being. She seeks compensation for her injuries and damages.
She seeks a trial by jury.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Martin J. Gaughan.
