Giatras & Webb now two separate firms

CHARLESTON – A Charleston law firm of two prominent attorneys now is two separate operations.

Giatras & Webb now is the Giatras Law Firm and the Webb Law Firm.

Attorney Rusty Webb moved his offices two doors down on Capitol Street.

Both Webb and Troy Giatras said the split was amicable.

"We had been together 10 years," said Giatras, who specializes in personal injury law. "We had a good time. There were no fights, no lawsuits between us, no disagreements.

"We still will work on cases together. We refer cases back and forth."

Webb said the decision to split the firm was a difficult one.

"I used to do a lot of criminal defense and personal injury, so I'm going to get back into that," said Webb, who is a former member of the House of Delegates. "But I'll still be primarily focused on family law."

Webb is the lone attorney in his new offices. Giatras has hired John Little to help.

"It's always been my dream," Giatras said of having his own firm. "My parents have a restaurant in Cumberland, Md., and I've always wanted to have my own business."
