* McCuskey says he was hired as Manager of the Municipal Utilities Commission of Saint Albans, but his job was eliminated before he could start by the City Council. He wants his job reinstated.

Pritchard Mining Company, Inc. v. Euro-American Coal Trading, Inc., et al.

* Pritchard says Euro-American, Theodore Sohnen, Vondy and Joshua Brunty and Gerald Stokley had a hand in falsifying coal tests that determine the value of coal bought by Euro-American from Pritchard, increasing the resell value. When the end buyer did not want to pay, Pritchard says it lost out on $550, 370.70. Pritchard is also seeking punitive damages.

Estate of Matthew S. Belford by Donita Taylor, Administratrix v. Comsat Corporation, et al.

* Taylor says Comsat, Universal Antennas, Inc., Radiation Systems, Inc., Lockheed Martin Corp. and Harry Morton are to blame for her son's acute myelogenous leukemia that caused his April 16, 2004 death. She says his exposure to benzene contained in paints used at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank while an employee of the defendants caused his disease. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Flora A. Belcher and Raymond M. Belcher v. The Kroger Company

* Belcher says she fell in the Kroger grocery store in Elkview because of obstructions between aisles. Her medical bills totaled approximately $3,000, but she is suing for $250,000 and her husband is suing for $100,000 because of loss of consortium.

* The Attorney General's office is charging Precision Windows and Doors with accepting money and not providing a service. Attorney Jill Miles is seeking to recover refunds for those affected.

* Griffey and Mason say a truck carrying coal and owned by Big E Trucking Company ran them off the road and the unknown driver didn't stop to help them in November. Mason was in a coma for 30 days and the two have combined for approximately $600,000 in medical expenses.
