WINFIELD -- A Putnam County man has sued his former girlfriend, claiming she still has items that belong to him with a value of more than $53,000.

Matthew Quall filed the lawsuit May 10 in Putnam Circuit Court. In the complaint, he says he and Christy McClung Brock dated but separated in August 2005.

Now, she has "failed and refused to return certain items of personal property belonging to the plaintiff of a value in excess of $53,000.00 and still has the same in her possession and control."

The itemized list of that property includes a four-piece bedroom suite from Boll Furniture worth $11,660, two chests from Boll worth $7,689.88, mattress and bedding from Mattress Warehouse worth $2,625.62, a dishwasher from Jeff's Appliances worth $572.35, carpeting from Custom Carpets valued at $3,294.97, a Rolex watch from Reeds Jewelers worth $6,519, a pool table and accessories from American Billiards worth $2,315.74, a diamond ring from Carlyle & Co. valued at $17,000, reimbursement for landscaping/supplies from Lowe's for $453.67, reimbursement for repairs to the air conditioner/furnace from Rock Branch for $328.92 and a 24-inch flatscreen Sony TV from Sears worth $1,400.

Quall demands Brock either return the items in excellent condition or that he be given judgment of $53,860.15. He also seeks interest, attorney fees and court costs.
