CHARLESTON - A Lincoln County man says he was assaulted during a trip to George's Lounge in Kanawha City.
Justin Hanson filed the lawsuit May 31 against George's Lounge and Christian, Rich and George Chaber through Charleston attorney Robert Goldberg.
He says that on April 17, Christian Chaber assaulted him while acting as an agent of George's Lounge. Rich and George, he says, are the owners of the establishment.
"Christian and Rich acted as agents and conspired with each other and aided and abetted in the assault and battery committed," the complaint says.
Hanson says he was the "victim of an assault and brutal physical beating committed by Defendant Christian Chaber at the instigation, direction and assistance of Defendants Rich Chaber and George's Lounge.
Hanson says he was beat in the face and head while he was unconscious and was also kicked in the head by Christian Chaber.
In January, police say 20-year-old Jason Jones was shot outside of George's Lounge and have since arrested a suspect.
He charges the defendants with assault and battery, negligence and breach of warranty and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
Judge Louis Bloom has been assigned the case.
